Tsk. Cross-Country is over. Of course I'm glad its over la. But still, how crap is a 41st placing. My friday was a loser day. First I was almost late for school. Then I banged my head on the ground at rugby. Then before cross-country, I discovered that the sole on my shoe was coming out. On the bus, Hong En told me to aim sub-20. And I completely forgot Perbert's theory of "tired, then piah, still tired, then piah harder". Of course there's those dumb sec fours who, being the one kind of people they are, bothered to cheer on only their own house. And throughout the whole race =/ ulp. My pants was getting damn tight and my legs super numb. Especially ah, the in between there. Ew. This is censored kay. Yuck. Anyway, so at 1km, I heard a sec 4 shout out so I started increasing a bit. At 400m I burned. all the way to the finish where I promptly collapsed and had no energy to even hold the red disc with my position.
That's just the race. I looked at the disc and discovered that for all my (lousy) efforts, I got 41st. Great. I went to the stand where they were calculating positions. I sat down. Steven Lim asked me to stand up. I did and subsequently came close to banging into the tent's supporting pole. I shouldn't have piahed so damn hard. I sat down for prizegiving. After I got up again, my hands started closing into fists involuntarily. I shook myself steady then went to get my bag.
Two hours passed.
I went to the bus stop and the damn bus just had to take its own time. And when the bus came, it was the one that would take the long-way-round-route. 28. So fine la I boarded the bus armed with an empty wallet, a no-value ez-link, and no phone. All I had was a borrowed 60cents. I fell asleep on the bus and the bus overshot and stopped at central. With no money, I was reduced to doing 3 things I have never done in my life ever before. Never. Ever.
First I borrowed a phone to call my mom. Second I asked a stranger for the time. And third my mother asked me to take a taxi so for the first time ever I took a taxi without the money necessary to pay the fare.
Sheesh. So loser. Anyway thank God I survived such a day.
But yesterday was much better. My mom told my dad to ask my aunt whether can borrow a car and, thank God, within that minute my aunt messaged my dad, "We are out you need to use the car?" Such is the power of God's blessing.
I also bought nice new basics running shoes yesterday, comfy snug and pretty yellow shoes (: Today Charmaine seems very down. I dunno what happened. Ahhh. I managed to finish the worksheet on trigonometry and against ALL odds, I managed to save my zhuantizuoye as a webpage. Me. For all my stupidity in the field of computers.
Yeah. Happy.
A zac just spoke.
