I feel so happy today. But still not satisfied. I muggeded for 4 hours, 1100-1300, 1500-1700. Maths, Chem and Physics. Its like a personal record :/ However, I have neglected my Bible studies, another :/ I keep thinking today is Sunday, that I have school tomorrow. Where is Erinn, I wonder. Oh, and Nellie, I've marked you for life after what you said in the project room that day. When I said half my life is like whatever and then before I could think of something to complete the "other half" with, and you went like "e-h..." Anyway, if you didn't understand that, forget it. It's an "either you get it or you don't" kind of thing, as said by Woo Chiao.
Anyway, since I'm not yet a member of the Hougang Sheng Hong Family Service Centre RE-SL project blog, I may as well write my reflections here for the time being. I think I was the last person in our group to go for the tuition thingy the FIRST time last week. So it was pretty okay, I guess. There were about 10-20 kids mostly Primary 2-4, and I helped a malay boy called Fazrin. And of course, it being my first time, I just tried to coach one boy, while Leeni and Derek each coached two kids, I think? And not to forget Shien and his entire princess club. There were four when we went yesterday. He claims he's not that good at coaching them but it sure looks otherwise. And there's this malay girl in Shien's princess club that looks exactly like Erinn. Honestly. When she first came into the tuition centre/room/whatever place I saw her then my jaw dropped. She looks so like Erinn. But she's darker la. And her name is Dyana, if i got that right.
Anyway again, so I was helping Fazrin. And in the process of doing so, I realised what different circumstances we came from. Yet he showed me that he was pretty hardworking. He finished 7 out of 9 sheets of a maths worksheet. That takes perseverance, considering not everything inside was that easily doable and that his foundation was a little weak. I know, and I hope that at least I taught him one thing, that if you want to find the difference between two stuff, its subtraction, not addition.
So on the whole, I was rather happy on my first time at the tuition centre. It gave me a chance to interact with at least Fazrin, and do my best to help him. Really meaningful, and I thank God for giving me the patience and understanding, to help Fazrin. Amen.
